Oh Diane, I LOVE IT!!!!…you know, SUMMER’S CHILD is another favorite of mine and stands right up there with KEEPER OF THE LIGHT. I remember being disappointed that the original SUMMER’S CHILD only came out in small paperback and I wanted it in hardcover…but this reissue in the large trade paperback is FABULOUS…I absolutely love the cover…even tho I have the original small paperback on my ‘Diane Shelf’ I will definitely be buying this next April and will read it again….oh, I can hardly wait…everyone, I highly recommend this book if you’ve never read it!!
Absolutely Perfect Cover for one of my favorite books!
Love the book-love the cover…Diane-I sat in a little cafe today reading THE CRADLE (Gina and Denise-their bookclub choice…) Saw a lady writing-told her about you…I spent the day “doing” library, etc…and a delicious HAIRCUT…wow…
It’s gorgeous. All of the covers since ’secret life..’ with the little girl with the red hair have been beautiful. Makes me want to buy the reissues just for the pretty covers (and to support u obviously).
Brenda, it’s so nice that you’re finally getting this happy time off! How are you liking The Cradle?
Lindsay, I agree that my publisher has finally found the right look for my books and I’m thrilled. I’ll give you a sneak peek of the cover for the reissue of Breaking the Silence, A December release, soon.
Wow, that is a gorgeous cover!!!
I love this cover. It is so cute.
Love the covers. Will have to rebuy the books also-just for the covers…Love them…
Also-The Cradle was good…I read it at a little cafe-finished the last couple of pages at the complex…Unique…thought-provoking-short little one that can be read quite quickly…worth reading. Read McFadden’s The Richest Season last night-but realized early on I had read it before-takes place on Pawley’s Island-one of my favorite places at Myrtle Beach…Read Grisham’s latest this week-same old theme…sorry…
LOVE it, Diane. Really great art work.
So I was lucky enough to find the original copy of Summer’s Child at a used bookstore. I am currently reading it and so far so good!
Actually I am at work right now and have some free time so I will be reading it for a little while.
I’m glad to hear that this novel will be re-issued because as an avid reader and an aspiring writer (I’m currently a sophomore in college studying writing), I believe the more you read the better you understand the art of writing.
You are so right about that, Coco! I’m glad you’re enjoying Summer’s Child, and good luck with your own writing.
